Item Details

  • The D/F Machine Specialties #15118 is a 7/16" diameter threaded contact tip manufactured from CuCrZr (Copper Chromium Zirconium) alloy. It is specifically engineered for 1/16" (1.6mm) hard wire in high-amperage automated and robotic MIG welding systems. The component features a thick-walled construction designed to function as a heat sink and a 1/8" set back for arc length and gas coverage optimization.

Features

  • Thick-walled design acting as a heat sink to conduct heat away from the arc source
  • 3 to 1 reduction in downtime compared to standard C122 DHP copper tips
  • Threaded locking mechanism for increased surface contact and electrical conductivity
  • Built-in wire straightening via extended tip length
  • High softening temperature and improved hardness for abrasive wire use
  • Smooth inside diameter surface for consistent wire feed
  • Permanent marking for wire diameter identification
  • Wear-resistant alloy construction to prevent exit hole ovaling
  • Rapid consumable replacement capability
